Unicode/XML Westminster Leningrad Codex
This Hebrew bible (the Tanach) has been derived from the
Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC)
maintained by the
J. Alan Groves Center for Advanced Biblical Research
by Kirk E. Lowery and Stephen K. Salisbury
(Release Notes).
The WLC has been transcribed
to a format with Unicode character coding
and XML markup. The
license of use is very generous.
- The Hebrew text is freely available in 5 formats: text, HTML, XML, ODT
(Open Document Text), or PDF (Portable Document Format). The text files are an official
repository of the Groves Center for the Westminster Leningrad Codex in Unicode.
- Files include a standard Text
Encoding Initiative (TEI) header describing the provenance of the text.
